When doing an index, by default it displays the page numbers. I am doing a legal document that has numbered clauses, and the marked words are in the clauses. The document I am copying from shows an alphabetical index and the relevant clause number, as opposed to the page number. It is possible to achieve this, or do you think the originator did this manually? Thanks!

I'm guessing it must have been done manually. Have you inspected the XE
fields to see if they include the clause number?
