Index page problem

When I upload my updated index page it does not upload.
All the other pages do. It has an .htm at the end, I was
wondering if the index page should have a .html at the end.
thank you in advance. Other ideas as to what the problem
may be.

Are you saying that it doesn't upload, or when you load your site, you can't
see it?

Every web server has a set of default file names (home page). Typical names
include:
index.htm
index.html
default.htm
default.html

There are more, though.

You're on track by wondering if you should change it to .html. I'd give
that a try and, if it fixes it, you're done. If not, check with your web
host to see what they require your default document to be named.
