Does any one know why incredimail is not working? Is it not compatible? Is
there another program out there that has similar notifiers compatible with
windows vista?

You would need to check with the makers of Incredimail to see if it is
compatible with Vista. I'm not sure what you mean by "notifiers".
Windows Mail has options to alert you when new mail comes in, just like
Outlook Express does.

try poptray, it works well with Vista, most of the time. It sometimes
looses all the acounts that you might have setup in it, but that's just
in appearance. If it happens just reboot and everything will be back to
normal. The issue comes from where poptray stores your profile in Vista,
but one can live with it. PopTray is a really, really good email
notifier. Get the plugin too if you want to use it with Gmail, through
pop ssl.

Incredimail is not compatible with Vista at the moment. I went to
Incredimail's frequently-asked-questions section and apparently, many
Vista/Incredimail users are asking this very thing. Their auto response is
that they are 'working on it and will have a solution very soon."

My notifier is stuck on the default British Butler that says "you have mail,
sir" (I'm a woman) and when I try to change it, I get an error message and
then my program freezes my computer up. I've given up waiting for them to
resolve all these issues and have started using Windows Mail but was curious
about the notifier situation, too. I don't want to have to open my mail to
check for new mail. I want a notifier on my taskbar.

You could leave Windows Mail open but minimized. It will make a 'ding'
sound and will leave a notification in the taskbar if new messages have
been received.

I find it interesting (or frustrating) that an earlier version of Incredimail
worked fine on my computer running Vista but the latest build freezes up and
quits. Doesn't make much sense.

It's about time they got the Vista compatible version out!
