Can the resolution of iCarbon scan-copy software be increased from
300 dpi?

My laser printer produces its output more heavily when set to 300 dpi
than at 600 dpi which gives a more detailed and finer print.

Seems that iCarbon ignores dpi settings I might make in iCarbon >
Settings > Hardware > Properties.

I am guessing but it seems that the dpi setting in iCarbon is for the
scan resolution and *also* for the print resolution.

Is there a way to get iCarbon to scan very "finely" and to get my
printer to print at 600 dpi?

In icarbon, try setting the dpi, then save settings.

A laser actually gives more detail in 600 than in 300. I think it's just
bigger dots that make it look darker. You may try a 1 point larger font.
That can sometimes make the font look a lot darker.
