It would be great if I could have more than 22 inches of usable space on the
reports since I can plot to a large format plotter!!! Just a thought!!
plus it becomes combersome when I try to plot I need to make a custom size
of 20x20 for example instead of the ansi or arch standards like 24x36 etc....
18x24....
Just my thoughts and dreams!
thanks
Michael

Taping them together in 2 separate reports is not a nice way to go... My need
is to show a Big picture, overall, status of a huge chart/matrix... It is
nice to hang it up on a wall instead of having it in an notebook or a
handout... well we can always pray to the MS access gods for an
enhancement....
Thanks for the Speedy reply!

Have you considered printing the maximum size to PDF or some other graphic
format? Then, take the graphic file and print it within an application that
allows larger paper sizes.

The maximum width for Access Reports, since Version 1.0, has been 22 inches.
The only workaround I have seen is to create two reports that can be pasted
or taped together, which does not seem to satisfy your needs. My personal
view is that a report consisting solely, or mostly, of text and numbers (as
most Access reports are) would be difficult for users to grasp if it were
over 22 inches wide. I suspect this had something to do with deciding on
that maximum.

But, Microsoft is aware of customer demand for additional capability in
Reports, in a number of areas. I couldn't say just how they may be
addressing such demand.

Thats what I have done in the past but its not really a good solution... I
guess I can make all my Text super small and try to fit it... that might work
although I am not sure on the quality of the text after the enlargement.

Do we know the actual reason that it's a limitation?

Thanks for the replies!!

If I had heard the reason for the limit, I have forgotten it. It might have
something to do with:
2^15 = 32768
32768/1440=22.756
There are 1440 twips per inch
