As users, we are currently only able to save files up to about 250Kb in size
in the public folder. Whenever I try and save something bigger, it comes up
with 'access denied, contact your administrator'. How does the administrator
increase the file sixez that we can save in the public folder?

There are no file size restrictions that I'm aware of, except the amount of
hard disk space that is available?

Could you give us more details about exactly what you are doing when you
receive this error message.
Which program are you using to save the files?
What is the exact name and path of the folder that you are saving the files
in?

It happens whenever one of us wants to save a file that is bigger than 250Kb
into the public folder (this is our J drive). We only really use Word and
Excel and it happens with Adobe files too. To get round it I have to save
everything into my documents or the desk top and email a copy to the
administrator for him to save it onto the J drive. It is definitely a size
problem because after a lot of searching for answers, it was realised that it
only occurred in files that jpegs in them or large PDFs.
