Using 2002, I'd like to increase or decrease a bullet
level as needed. For example, I might type
- level one
- level one
- level two
- level one
When I use the bullet feature, I can't seem to find an
easy way to use levels like one might do in a Word doc.
tia for any help.

Go to the Tools menu and choose Customize. Click on the Options tab.
Check the box labeled "Show Standard and Formatting toolbars on two
rows." Click the Close button. You should now see all of the formatting
toolbar, which includes buttons for Promote and Demote (just like the
buttons in Word). For some reason PowerPoint seems to default to having
those toolbars on one row, which doesn't leave enough room to have all of
the standard tools visible.

Additionally, when you are typing in a bullet list, hit the TAB key to
demote and Shift-TAB to promote. Do this before you type anything at a
bullet.
