Incorrect Windows Version

I had to roll back my system to a time BEFORE I had Sp2 downloaded. SP2 is
not in the Add\Remove or updates section and none of its features are
present, BUT, the control panel system and WINVER both show SP2 (which is
incorrect). Windows update therefore will not let me download and re-install
SP2 since it thinks I already have it. I need to change the incorrect
Windows version so it will install OR override update and make it install.
Any ideas?

If you've installed Windows using a slipstreamed disk (with SP2
integration), it's not possible to remove Service Pack 2 separately.

Download the full SP2 file and install it. Search Microsoft's site for the
IT download of it.

In the Add/Remove window of the Control Panel, you must check mark the "Show
Updates" [at the top of the right side] box for Service Pack 2 to show in
that window.
