Incorrect Values with 12 MONTH FORECAST

I have read through some of the Post here and maybe I do not understand the
formula process as many of you but I think my problem is a function of the
program rather than something I'm doing.

When I input a Dollar Value into one of the Cells, I am not seeing that
value increase at the bottom TOTA; CASH PAID OUT

I have one Column and for one Row I entered a value of $300. At the bottom
$300 appeared. However in the same column, I also entered another value of
$700 and then yet another (same column) $900 and the value in CASH PAID OUT
still shows $300. What do I do to correct this?

And why isn't this working ? I haven't changed any formulas

Thanks,

Ken

Check the formatting of the cells. They may be text. If they are left
aligned 'naturally' (without any false alignment) then they are text and
will not compute in a sum. To correct it go to Format>Cells...>Number and
select one of the number formats or 'general' (Sometimes, this does not
switch back and you may wish to check here to correct it)

Hi Nick ~

I couldn't correct the problem so I down loaded a new preadsheet, inputted
the values and this is working just fine.

Thank you
