Incorrect number of processors reported

On our IBM xseries 345, we have two processors installed
(system max). At the initial Windows 2000 Advanced Server
OS load, two processors are detected. However, the
environment variable number_of_processors is 4.

Any solutions or ideas?

If hyper-threading on your P4 processors is enabled, this is expected (and
desirable) behavior.
