Be default, Vista has associated ZIP files with INTERNET Explorer
instead of with Windows Explorer. When I tried to open a zip file,
before noticing this, it opened Internet Explorer, closed it, and then
went into a maddening loop. It closed and opened IE7 repeatedly,
about three times per second, and this essentially froze the machine.
It was still responsive to mouse input, but each time a new IE Window
would open, it would steal focus and close any menu I opened to try to
stop the problem or shut down the machine.
It was easy to change the association once I figured out what the
problem was.
I've been following this group for four days, and I haven't noticed
any mention of this problem. Has anyone else seen this or is it just
me? Does anyone know if it's already been bugged?
