incorrect colour printing

my pictures are suddenly being printed with a dark greenish hue nomatter
what image software I use. both printers - epson stylus 6-- and cx 5200
- produce same gloomy results. have changed ink cartridges but no
difference. test pages look fine. looks like a setting has changed but i
can't work it out.
