I have a network with a domain controller using Windows 2003 Server and
client computers all using Windows XP. I have a number of users who have
roaming profiles, with the profiles located on the server. On the client
computers, I first created a generic profile then copied it to the default
profile on the client computers. When the other users first logged on, they
were first given this generic profile, then afterwards the profile was saved
to the server. The problem is that when looking at the properties of a
document created by one of the users, the author always shows up as one
particular user named Jenna. When I created the default profile, I may have
used Jenna’s profile as the template profile copied to the default profile,
but I’m not sure of this. When looking at the properties of a document
created by one of the users, the owner shows up as that particular user, not
Jenna, despite the fact that Jenna shows up as the author. How can I get the
correct author to show up in the document properties?
