Hello

I am trying to incorperate old data (excel) into a new Access 2000 database. The problem alot of the old data doesn't correspond to the combo-box choices on the forms (from related tables). Therefore I get the following error message when I navigate through a form with old data:"The Value you entered isn't valid to this field".

How would I go about having Access ignore any data that doesn't correspond to the current available choices and still allow any updates to be saved? I want to keep any new data restricted to the predefined catagories I put in the combo-boxes record source table

Thank
Brian

Brian; have you thought about creating an unMatched Query
and then appending those Unmatched items to the CBO's
tables.
