It's been reported that our application is being "Incompatible" by Vista
RC2. Microsoft is developing competing products and integrating with Vista
so this is highly suspicious. It's worked fine in all other Vista releases
and does not use .Net. Who do I contact to resolve this?

I'm downloading RC2 now to ensure I see the same results.

It is up to you to be certain that "your" program is compatible with the
final build of Vista. Microsoft does all it can in trying to ensure
compatibility but you may have to make an effort also.

I am not certain as who to contact (a web site was setup for developers such
as you a long time ago). The information has been spread around for a few
years now that you should contact Microsoft to obtain their advancing
requirements.

And no, I do not think the fact that your product has turned up as
incompatible is suspicious at all. You're just trying to make something out
of nothing. Likely you will have to recode a bit. Some/many programs may
have to be rewritten to work with Vista.

Try running the setup as "Administrator"

Also, trying executing the program as "Administor." You can do this by
right mouse clicking and choose "Run as Administrator"

LOOOLLL MS loves to shift things around and has made a mess of vista... dont
get me started...

Golly this boy needs some fresh air....

aaaahhhh you are an MVP that explains everything!

Its always the "other" peoples fault and not the platform that is
shifting....

There you have it folks: MVP logic....
