Incompatible version of Publisher

I have received a Publisher file but I can't open it because it is incompatible with the Publisher 2000 that I use. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can get this converted to 2000 so I can open it? Thanks.
 
I think you'd be better off asking this in a newsgroup related to Publisher,
such as microsoft.public.publisher.

This newsgroup is for questions about dealing with external data using
Access, the database product.
