My firewall is showing incoming IP traffic to port 666 (Doom)

Is this related in any way to the "my-Doom" virus?

I have instructed my firewall to block all incoming packets to port 666.

http://www.google.de/search?q=Doom+Port+666
says no.

Wouldn't it be a better idea to check if there is something
listening on port 666 on your machine and deactivate that
thing (backdoor, service, whatever)? If there is nothing
listening, you don't need to block the port because conection-
requests will be denied automatically anyway.

Nothing listening on port 666.
I dont like the thought of unknown, unwanted packets passing through my firewall even if there is no
destination application.

Thanks for your reply, but I have instructed my firewall to block incoming packets to port 666 in
future.
