Incoming email box

How do I change the settings for the message which appears at the bottom
right of the screen when a message is incoming? I want to cancel them for a
short period of time while I am busy.

If you mean mail notification icon, its either on or off - no pause / remind
me later

Close Outlook for a temporary fix.
