My incoming server address changes everytime after restart or shutdown to
127.0.0.1
Each time I logon I have to input the correct address before I can receive
mail.
Suggestions - solutions?

Do you have an antivirus programme set to scan incoming or outgoing emails?
Disable that option.

Thanks for your response. Yes I do have it but I never had this problem
before the switch to a different ISP. I disabled the antivirus for email but
it still does the same thing.

Now that you've disabled the e-mail component of your antivirus software,
you'll probably need to put the correct mail server information back into
the account properties.

Thanks for you response. I did that, but it still goes back to what someone
said those numbers (127.0.0.1) are a "loop-back" address used to test
continuitity.

Now that he said that, I remember a couple of weeks ago I was having trouble
connecting to my ISP servers (Verizon). The tech made me do all these tests
like "ping" and "release" and some stuff I don't understand. After all that,
I fail to tell him and he failed to ask, that I have a router--and come to
find out the router was bad. By-passed the router and it worked. But I didn't
have this problem of my incoming address in my mail properties changing
everytime I shutdown or restart. This started after I the switch of my ISP.
Talked to the tech for the new ISP and he's not sure what the problem could
be and refered my situation to another tech who is yet to call me back. My
last resort is to "system restore" to the date before we did these tests.

Thanks again for the responses. I'll take any suggestions.

The ISP switch will not be related to your loopback problems UNLESS you
installed their software as part of the switch.

Reinvestigate your third party software to ensure you do not have email
scanning enabled anywhere.
