Outlook 2003 connecting to Exchange 2000

I have a resoursce email account which I connect to in outlook along with my own mailbox
When I look at the inbox it shoes as Inbox [26] I presume that the [26] should refer to how many unread emails there are but it is empty

Why does it show inbox [26] but its empty
also the [26] is in green, while my own inbox shows in blue, any idea why

Can anyone help, I have made no setting changes to the resoursce mailbox

Thank
M

Your mailbox is probably set to only display unread items
The green counter means the total amount of messages in the folder. You can
change this by rightclicking the folder-> Properties-> option Show number of
unread items

Hi Road

I don't have any view settings set they are default

Also the same anomily occurs when other users connect to the mailbox. Are the view settings part of the mailbox or the user that is connected

Any further ideas

Thank

M

View is defined per folder indeed. Reset the current view to make sure the
settings are correct. If you rightclick the folder and choose properties->
button Folder Size to verifiy the folder isn't empty.
