Inbox Does Not Update to Show New Items

I realize so many have reported this same problem and I apologize for
bringing it up again. But for as many times as I've seen the problem
reported, I've not yet seen a difinative solution posted.

Has anyone found the answer to thie following poblem?

New mail arrives, the inbox in the folder
list shows new mail Inbox(5) as well as the Unread(5) but i have to click out
of the inbox and back in to view the new mail? what gives here? It seems
lots of folks have the same issue but no resolution.

I am running:
XP Pro SP 2
Outlook 2007, version 12, build 4518
Connected to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003

Read through the entire article, Outlook 2007 is specifically mentioned in a
couple of places with your particular problem. There are a couple of
suggestions. Let me know if anything helps.

I have the same problem. The Inbox Message pane in Outlook 2007 is not updated when new mail arrives, although the number of unread messages noted against Inbox in the Navigation pane increases.
The article you referenced talks about missing UDPs from Exchange Server, but I'm using POP3 and I didn't think UDPs are involved.

Outlook 2007, version 12, build 6300

Seems to be the same problem I have. Outlook 2007, Vista everything updated
fully (31th marts 2009).
I have found through other forums that if I open Outlook with a navgation
pane reset (the commaned outlook /resetnavpane) I will show new emails in all
IMAP folders (I get email from a couple of different email adr).

A suggestion, though rather old and for XP states that it has something to
do with the UDP, and some firewall settings. As Richard I dont belive it has
something to do with the firewall if a navpane rest can do the trick.

It is really annoying to have the navigation pane reset every time.

Hope a better solution comes up.
