I have a field called inactive in several different
tables. I do not allow for deletions at this point so I
have them check the check box for inactive.

Here's the error message I get when I try to click the
checkbox to make it inactive.

Error:

Write Conflict - This record has been changed by another
user since you started editing it. If you save the
record, you will overwrite the changes the other user made.

Copying the changes to the clipboard will let you look at
the values the other user entered, and then paste your
changes back in if you decided to keep them.

When I look at the results of the clipboard,it is just a
record.

How do I fix this. It occurs on all of my tables that
have this inactive checkbox. I tried changed to a text
box, and it does the same thing. The datatype is a bit.

I haven't received a response on this. Should I post to
another area of the access newsgroups?

This is a microsoft knowledge base Q# Bug.

I am the only user of this database (it is still in
development). This is the only field that it happens
with. I tried changing the name of the field (since all
of the inactive fields were named the same). That did not
help. I am using mdac 7. I only have one copy of the
database open and one copy of the form. The tables are
stored in SQL server 2000.
