Rec'd STOP Error: 0x0000007B INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
during restart after installing any service pack, i.e.
SP2, SP3, or SP4 on a Compaq Deskpro EN P733 small form
factor PC built 1999-2000. BIOS and Intel chip software
are upgraded to latest version posted on Compaq/HP site.
Tried service pack update to both FAT32 & NTFS systems.
SDRAM upgraded to 256MB. Newer formatted 30GB Western
Digital EIDE HD is installed. Searched MS Knowledge Base
on STOP Error but nothing pertaining to my situation.
Anyone have any ideas??? Thank you - Mario.

Hi,

When we get a Stop 78 0xC0000034 with this code it means driver but we
have look the registry at several places which upper filter driver is
causing the Issue

That’s why I asked you to call Microsoft and get hold of Setup team

They are specialist in these Kind of cases

Hi, thanks for your help.
I did re-install the Windows 2000 Professional OS on a fresh NTFS
partition. The PC boots fine with SP1. It is only after upgrading to SP2 or
later service pack that causes the problem. Do the error codes indicate
specifically which drivers are incompatible?

Thank you,
Mario

Hi,

As per the codes it seems to be a seriousissue of Drivers

Which are not compatible with the OS

I would recommend you to call Microsoftand get the help from setup team

Prior to that you can try one step

After installing the OS on the fresh partition( May be NTFS or FAT 32 )

You will again get the Blue screen

I will suggest you to do a inplace upgradeon the machine

That is repair the OS

That may fix the issue , Other wise call Microsoftand get in touch with
Setup

They will diagnose the system and let youknow where is the issue and they
fix it

Thanks

Abhijeet Nigam
