Setup:
-Windows 2000 Professional and NT 4.0 workstations on a
Windows 2000 AD domain.
-100Mbps LAN - Traffic is not overloaded
-Outlook 98, 2000 SR1, and 2000SP3 on the client
workstations
-PST files are stored on a mapped drive on the server, and
have been for over two
years.
Some are larger than others, but nothing crazy.
Issues:
"Can't open this item. The file M:\Outlook\mailbox.pst
could not be accessed."
"Cannot create the e-mail message because a location to
send and receive messages
could not be found. To add a location, click the Tools
menu, click Services, and
then click the Delivery tab"
"Cannot access the file M:\Outlook\mailbox.pst"
etc...
In summary, our users are working in Outlook as per usual,
and quite frequently
the window pane correlating to the current folder they are
in within Outlook, turns
grey and says your pst file is inaccessible.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Danny
