Could someone point me in the right direction please? I
have a 40 gig HD and a 3gig HD that currently functions
fine in a SLOW Gateway (p2 400mhz)pc. I have tried to
install them in a case that I've just bought that has a
new motherboard with a (P4 1.6ghz). When I get power it
up and I choose which operating system I want to go into,
win2k or 2000 ad. serv< it goes to a blue screen with the
message (((INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE....If this is the
first time that you've seen this message, restart your pc.
If it shows again, check for viruses, remove any newly
installed hard drives or hard drive controllers- make sure
hard drive is configured and terminated properly- run CHKD
SK /F for corruption)))
I've tried reconfiguring the bios setup, jumpers on the
drives, I still get the same blue screened message. I'm
only able to get online right now because I've installed
the drives back into my original SLOW Gateway.
It would be very much appreciated if anyone could let me
know what I need to do. THANX IN ADVANCE Wayne B.

Wayne,
I just tried to upgrade to SP4 and I'm getting the same
thing. If you get an answer please let me know. I'll do
the same for you. I really don't want to take the system
down to scratch (again). This has not been the first time
I've been hosed by one of their updates.

Thanks,
Eric
