I've just done a reinstall of XP and I want to know in what order should I
install the .net Frameworks. I've nothing but problems with them in the
past. Should I do 3, 2 and then 1? Or should install just 3 or what? Many
thanks for the one who could help me with this.

And yes I know you need all 3 to run apps but sometimes they don't install
the right way si I just want to know the best way to install them. Thanks.

You do not need all versions of the .NET Framework in order to "run apps."
If you think you need every version, then why would that be?

In general, when installing multiple versions of *any* software, it is best
to install the oldest first. Having said that, .NET frameworks are designed
to run in parallel, so it shouldn't matter.

It's actually a lot simpler than that. Start with .Net 3.0, and then stop.
It will install the other 2.

Hi Kevin.

What do you mean by <"It will install the other 2.">

Are you saying that the 3.0 installation will give you the actual 1.0, 1.1,
and 2.0 libraries on disk? Or are you simply going off of the backwards
compatability angle... that any .NET app written with an earlier version
will run on a later version of the framework?

Thanks.
