In powerpoint 2007, how do I arrange to have a scrollbar appear so that the
user can scroll down to read more? My text is longer than one page. I have
tried the texbox object thing, but I'm having trouble using bullets in the
text. also having trouble editing or starting a new line. Can you help?

You can insert a Text Box object that will do this. It won't be formatted in
any special way, just text. Here's how I did it:
1) Enter the text in Notepad, say, or any place where you can copy and paste
it. 2) In PPT 2007, go to the Developer tab>Controls group> Text Box (ActiveX
Control) and drag on your slide to size it, so that it fits on your slide.
You don't want it to be long enough to fit your text, or you won't get
scrollbars.
(If you don't have the Developer tab, choose Office button>PowerPoint
Options>Popular and check the Show Developer Tab in the Ribbon check box.)
3) Right-click the selected text box and choose Properties.
4) In the Properties sheet that opens, do the following
- Change AutoSize to False
- Change ScrollBars to 2 - fmScrollBarsVertical
- Copy all your text from Notepad. In the Text box item of the Properties
sheet, paste. I'm not sure if there's a limit, but I was able to get enough
to make the scrollbar.
I think that's it. Try it out in Slide Show view. Hope this helps.
