In Outlook 2007 only 223 of my 509 Contacts show up - why?

You neglected to tell us to what view you are referring and how you
configured that view. How could anyone answer you?

Most humble apologies. I am using Detailed Address Card view - but I get the
same number of Contacts in any of the standard views. Oddly, when I clear
the offline items then send/receive the folder I can see it count up to 509
in the status bar, but then it reverts to 223 items immediately upon
completion of send/receive. Any help you can provide would be most greatly
appreciated. THANKS!

from your previous installation? Where does your Outlook data reside? Have

Our data resides in an Exchange 2003 server. If I run two laptops side by
side, the Outlook 2003 client shows 509 Contacts - the Outlook 2007 client
shows 223 Contacts. I made no changes to the views - on either client.

By the way, thanks for your help on this - it really has me baffled.
