In OUTLOOK 2007 email, the hyperlinks won't open.

When I click on a link in an email message, the following message pops up:
"THIS OPERATION HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT ON THIS
COMPUTER. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR." This problem developed
just since I upgraded from Vista Home Basic to the Vista Home Premium version.

I have a second email program on my pc that I use occasionally with no
problem at all.

Hope someone out there in cyberspace can help me. Thank you
 
IE8 installed ? This is a known issue with IE8 installed. The only fix for this
presently is to uninstall IE8 reverting back to IE7

I was so hopeful because your solution was 'one step easy' but, alas, it
didn't work. But, thanks for trying. Now I'm going to try DL's answer.
 
HALLELEUIA!! Thank you DL for your advice. I actually got off easy since
resetting the web settings did the trick!! I didn't have to mess with the
registry at all. Again, many thanks!
