hiya. i have a siemens laptop, with XP on it wont load up. i turn it on and it goes through the phase of loading into windows and at the stage where the desktop should appear a black screen turns up and then an error (0x0000142). The laptop will just complete turn itself off. Any ideas??? this is the 2nd time its happend and the first time it was fixed by reinstalling XP and all the drivers. this time i cant reinstall XP as it shuts down half way through installation. The Hard disks and ram have all been checked and no problems have showen up. any ideas?
