Hi,

Is there such a freeware program that would extract images, text, and
sounds from other programs? Say I have a screen saver, and would like to
get one of the pictures out of it. What could I use to do this?

Thank you very much for your time,

Try contacting the author and asking for a copy of the pic.

tried that. Very old program circa 1995-1996. Web site, and author's
email no longer exist. Also did a search on several search engines.
Starting with Google.

Anyway, Thank you very much for your input.

I'm not sure if this would work, but have you tried hitting print screen
and pasting into a graphics editor?

Just curious... what is the pic of?

Nope, didn't work.

Pictures are some photos of wildlife, and other scenes that I like.

It's been a long time since I've done this with Windows, but there used
to be all sorts of freeware programs that would grab a copy of the
screen for you so keep looking.

The text and sounds are another matter, there are probably ways to do it
but it would take someone more technical.

Have you snooped around the program's directory with Windows Explorer?
Sometimes sounds are stored as WAV, MP3, etc.

I have alreay done everything imaginable. i.e. snooping around the
programs directory, trying the print screen key. Searching the internet.
etc., etc. .

Seems to me that there were programs that would let you look around inside
other programs executables, and other files. Then extract what you wanted.
It seems to me that I have seen them mentioned on here a few years back.
However, my searches are to no avail. Maybe someone will remember what I
am talking about.

Thank each and everyone for your efforts now, and in the future.
