How can I prevent anyone viewing my web site from being able to copy certain
image and text files onto their computer?

Don't publish it on the web.

If you want to make it difficult, make a flash movie out of everything.

Any photo or text on the web has to be downloaded to the person's PC in
order for them to be able to view it. If your contents is that important,
then you need to think twice about putting it in a public place.

Flash won't help either.

Flash is helpful, you can make a Flash Movie that use function "LoadMovie" to
include other movies or pictures into it. When your page is loaded, the Flash
Moive File will be downloaded, but the pictures or movies that you include
will not be downloaded.

Untrue. You're forgetting CTRL-PRNTSCRN. In addition, by your own words,
"Moive File will be downloaded." The images are in the swf.

Copyright laws exist ONLY because published materials, by nature of being
reproducable, can be copied. If published materials could not be copied, why
would copyright laws be necessary? For example, you may have noticed that
there is no legal defense for murder such as "Innocent by reason of being
dead." A dead person cannot commit murder; therefore, there is no law
regarding it. There are no laws against things which are impossible to do.

Thanks for your reply, I know that there is something wrong with my answer
yesterday.

Yes, I forgot CTRL-PRNTSCRN. But I don't agree with your words "The images
are in the swf.". Because I means that make two files, one is used to load
the other movie, the other is used to show pictures and texts. By my own word
"Moive File will be downloaded", the first one will be downloaded, and the
second one will not.

Thanks again!

The entire flash is downloaded to your hd so you can extract anything from
it.
