When i enter an email address, sometimes it displays the name, with the email
address in brackets, other times it displays only the name!
My preference is to display the name only?

How?

I'm having the same problem, I'm using Outlook 2007, sometimes the display
shows the e-mail address, sometimes it shows the recipient's name and
sometimes it shows both. How can I select which it displays? All my
contacts have both the name and e-mail address in their entries.

All of my contacts were imported from Windows Mail that I have been using
since installing Vista. Whenever I sent mail from Windows Mail it only
displayed the recipient's name, not their e-mail address yet Outlook 2007
displays e-mail address in most cases for most of my contacts. When I look
at the display as data I see only e-mail addresses yet some of them display
the recipient's name?

How can I populate the display as field with the full name field without
having to do each contact separately?

Enter what you want in the Display As: field. Imported Contacts rarely abide
by Outlook's default settings.

I have over 500 contacts and not the time to manually change all. Isn't there
a shortcut or a utility that you know of?
Thanks

I have read many other related threads. You don't have to answer my question
anymore. I'm giving up on this.
