in dire straights and need to get into someones head

right i have a right bad problem i have a hp nc4000 laptop and as some of you will know they come with no cd rom drive the problem started when both of my usb ports on this laptop came out and were knackered i mean by came out that the whole workins came out so i had no usb ports so i got a pcmcia usb2 no problem but then my real problem started as my hard drive went corrupt and i had to format it ,so now i have a blank hard drive and no way of setting windows up on my laptop i can run my hard drive on a ext usb hard drive enclosure i have but every time i try to put the xp files on it i then put it on my laptop i get the blue screen of death so does any one have a idea or know what files i can load on to my hard drive from xp so i could at least get it to a point were i can use a external usb drive to finish the setup on my nc4000 i hope you gety the picture ie no cdrom no usb no way of loading xp unless its on another laptop but then keeps crashing at first screen thanks all geoff
 
if your installing windows via another PC then it wont work, the hard drive has to be connected to thr computer its going to be used in. if you cant boot form a CD then i cant think of a way to load up XP :( others may be able to help
 
ps

i have access to any operating system in cluding all the dos ones if that helps anyone just thinking if i loaded say win 95 would it work but tried it and it failed so if you know of a way tell me please
