In 2003 Outlook, where is Insert Item function?

I used to be able to Insert Items in Outlook Email messages and Calander
Events. They would appear as an icon which I could click to open.

Since upgrading to Office 2003, I can't find that functionality.

If you're using Word as your email editor (which is the default in Office
2003), you need to click the small triangle next to the paper clip icon on
the toolbar. This will display a drop down list that will allow you to
choose Insert Item or Insert File.

I am using Word, have followed your instructions but don't see the Insert
Item in the list anywhere.

And you're making sure to click the little arrow next to the paperclip icon
rather than just the paperclip icon? do you see a drop down at all?

I didn't have a Paper Clip but added it by customizing the Toolbar. I now
have a Paper Clip but no Small Triangle to it but there is a Small Triangle
at the end of the Toolbar.

I now have the Insert - Item in the Toolbar for Calendar Events, Contacts,
Tasks, but not available with Email.

Very confusing.

I appreciate your help; this did not work either. It is ONLY in Email that I
don't have the Insert - Item option.

Can someone tell me why I'm receiving notification for messages that I
haven't even read?
