In 2003 Is there any way to make "Keep Source Formatting" the default when pasting slides?

Just got a copy of office 2003. I do a lot of copying of slides
between files, and I *always* want to keep the source formatting, and
I'd much rather do so w/o clicking that silly smart tag. Is there any
way to make this happen? I'm willing to mess with macros, VBA, etc,
but so far I'm not turning up any hint that my goal is even possible.
I'm tempted to go back to Office 97. :(

Thanks for any light anyone can shed.

Hello Annette,

PowerPoint does not have the specific capability that you are looking for.
Although some defaults can be customized (such as using the Options dialog)
other defaults (such as Paste format) are built-in and cannot be customized
and require manual or VBA workarounds.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide more control over various default behaviors, settings, etc.
(without have to resort to VBA or 3rd party add-ins), don't forget to send
your feedback to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also why it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
