improved chart in Excel

Good day, I am looking for a way to create bar charts in Excel where the
width of the bar can be varied according to a variable.

For example the Y axis would show Exports Per Capita for a number of
cvountries, the X axis would give the Population of each country shown. Thus
the area of each bar (or column) would give total Exports.

Any tips would be appreciated.

I was aware of these, but these are roundabout artisanal shortcuts. What is
missing is an analytical tool which enables you to vary the width of the bars
to reflect some other variable. If there was a way to attach files to
messages here i could explain better what capability I am looking for.
