Impossible to delete a certain MP3

I have problem with a strenuous X........MP3 ;)why i say X-MP3
is cause it doesnt exist physically on my harddrive for real longer,
cause it becomed corrupted in some strange way

but still the file somweway is still there and looks just as when it
worked but, when looking dircley at the file its 10 Mb, however when
right klick on it its suddenley 0 bytes
and offcorse i can't do anything with the file, i cant play it,
i can't delete it (there isn't even the dialoge box "do you want to
remove this file to crapbasket" when presing delete button)
so when right klicking the alternative-tree gets unormal limited on
this file
so basicly the problem is i can't get ridd of it in any way it seems

i can't even add the file into an MP3 fixers ore any form of
file-shredders ore unlockers, cause "the file doesnt exist" all
programs complains about that when selecting this file
its not the first time this happends to a single Mp3 for me, (its only
"MP3" that gets like this it seems to me) i dont remember how i got
ridd of the files before but i did something
I have now tested a disc defrag on the affected hardrive allso, but
this file is auto marked as excluded by the computer offcorse
I have allso used chkdsk on this drive, but this file refuse to die

so to say..the file is gone, but are still showing, damn anoying :)

any ideas would be mutch appretiated

Run Errror Checking, reboot, reboot again and then try to delete the
corrupted .mp3.

You can use the Error-checking tool to check for file system errors
and bad sectors on your hard disk.

1. In My Computer or Windows Explorer, right-click the volume you want to
check, and then click Properties.
2. On the Tools tab, click Check Now.
3. Select both of these:

o Automatically fix file system errors
o Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors

A message will popup.

[[The disk check could not be performed because the disk check utility needs
exclusive access to some Windows files on the disk. These files can be
accessed only by restarting Windows. Do you want to schedule this disk check
to occur the next time you restart the computer?]]

Click YES.

Then reboot.

For a look at the chkdsk log.

Open the Event Viewer...
Start | Run | Type: eventvwr | Click OK |
Look in Application | Listed as Information |
Event ID: 1001
Source: Winlogon
[[Description: This includes file system type; drive letter or GUID, and
volume name or serial number to help determine what volume Chkdsk ran
against. Also included is whether Chkdsk ran because a user scheduled it or
because the dirty bit was set.]]

[[When Autochk runs against a volume at boot time it records its output to a
file called Bootex.log in the root of the volume being checked. The Winlogon
service then moves the contents of each Bootex.log file to the Application
Event log.]]

[[This file states whether Chkdsk encountered any errors and, if so,
whether they were fixed.]]

Locate the bad .mp3 and hit your Delete key.

Try this to delete the file.

Open a command prompt...
Start | Run | Type: cmd | Click OK |
In the command prompt window type:

del (and one space)

Drag the file into the command prompt.
Hit your Enter key.

del is the delete command. Deletes specified files.

Dragging the file into the command prompt automatically types the path &
file name and adds the double quotes.

One space is needed between del and the path\file name, like...

del "%userprofile%\Desktop\New.txt"

\\?\ turns off some checking of illegal names as a side effect of allowing
paths up to 32000 characters.

Open a command prompt and type:

del "\\?\

Drag the file into the command prompt so you do not have to type the name
and path.
Click on the command prompt Title bar to give it focus.
Make sure that there are NOT three double quotes, only two, like...

C:\>del "\\?\%userprofile%\Desktop\New.txt"

Then hit enter.
