Yeah, there's about 1,000 posts here on that ;-)

Basically you export Contacts to a CSV file, then import the CSV file to
Windows Contacts.

On messages, probably the easiest thing would be to import them into Outlook
Express. Drag all the messages headers out of Outlook Express to a regular
document folder, flash drive, or whatever. Each will be a .eml file. Then
drag all those .eml files into the message header area in Windows Mail.

For more info/other approaches search this NG for "import outlook" or
something.

Does anyone know if you can import contact and email messages from Outlook?

I saved all messages and contacts from my old pc and now would like to
import them, can I use windows mail for this or do I need to install outlook
angain?

When you open windows mail, there should be an import at the left hand side,
select it then chose messages then the option for outlook should appear.

You can import messages from the default PST file of an installed copy of
Outlook.
