Importing Videos

Greetings ...

When I import a video to windows movie maker .... It imports fine ---
but it
imports the video in sections. Not in 1 complete video file.

For instance .... I have a video file either .avi or.wmv - and when I
import it ...
it like imports in 8 different filles. I don't want that --- I want
the file to be
imported in 1 file only. How can I do that?

I also use proshow gold - and when you import a video file - it
imports it
as is - in full - 1 complete video file.

Suggestions?

On the import screen...uncheck the box...
"Create clips for video files".
