Importing video

I just started using my Sony Handycam DCR-SR100 and Windows Movie maker
together. As I select and import the video I receive the error message "file
could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events
from." When I go to File, Import into Collections - I seem to add the video
clip but only sound but no video appears (also, I can only import one file
before the other is somehow bumped out and disappears).

Why is this happening and how can it be resolved?

Thanks for your input, but there are several versions of the Handycam from
Sony. The DCR-SR100 is a hard drive camcorder. It writes to an internal 30
Gig hard drive and then you save to a computer. I don't think we're talking
about the same thing because there is no DVD involved with this camcorder.
Thanks anyway.

I anyone can address this issue, I'd be thankful like to hear from you.
