I am trying to use Movie Maker for the first time. I am trying to import
video from my video camera. When I select the video setting and then hit
next, I get the following message. "An interface has too many methods to
fire events from", what does this mean and how can I proceed past this
message?

Thanks,

Yes I am connecting to the computer via USB. I tried importing the video via
the software that came with the camera, and then trying to import the file,
but all it says now is, "The file C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My
Documents\My Videos\testwsound.mpg is not valid because it does not contain
any information." I even try playing them in windows media and the file
plays just fine.

My goal is to make short clips to post on my webpage...is there a better way?

It's JVC GR-D72U Mini DV

yes, firewire and capturing it with Movie Maker.

you didn't mention the brand/model... I'll assume it's a Sony - look up
iLink in the manual that came with it. That's the connection to use.... I'm
also assuming it's a mini-DV camcorder
