I have a sony camcorder, but it has neither a USB or Firewire output. The
camera does have output in the form of an S-Video, and audio jack (which
leads to RCA cable ends.) SO, what is the best way for me to import video to
my laptop? FYI: I only see a USB port on the computer. I assume I'll have
to buy some sort of converter. Thanks for the help.

Check the Analog Video Capture section of my website for some of things
being used... yes, you'll need a capture device. I use a Dazzle 80 external
device that my S-video and RCA connections go into, and then plug the Dazzle
80 into a USB port on the computer.

Thanks.... and I hate to keep bugging you, but when I ordered this (I
actually ordered the Dazzle 90), they said it didn't work with MM2. The
sales rep says it has its own editing software that I would have to use. Is
that true?

It might be true... many of the Dazzle products capture to MPEG-2 files and
don't work with Movie Maker. :The Dazzle 90 is pretty new and I couldn't
tell by looking at online info if it would work with MM2 as the Dazzle 80
does.

I'm looking at the online specs again.... it says the output formats include
Windows Media 9.... what it might be is just a USB2 version of the USB1
Dazzle 80.... if so it might work fine. But I'll have to wait to hear from
someone who tries it.
