Hello:

I have used WMM for about 3 years and I continue to be stumped when it comes
to importing videos from digital camera.
1) the videos (from my panasonic) are not recognized by WMM - what can I do
to solve this problem?
2) I want to make a combination of photos and video - is this possible or
should I just give up and stick with the photos?

I'm not familiar with the Panasonic, but you have to use .avi videos. Save
your video file off your camera and import it into WMM as a .avi file. It
is possible.

thanks for the info Ben.

One more question: how do I save the file on .avi, do I transfer the video
from my camera and then save it as avi on my desktop?

thanks

Hi Gabriela

You can try this. In some cases import movie to AVI does not work when you
use composite input,

Making Movie from composite input

Run Movie maker
Capture from video device
Let your tape running, you can that way ujust your Input level.
At the end of your set-up do not forget to revind your tape to the Start
Video Input choose composite
Click Next
Video name , put ex. Las Vegas 1
Click Next
Choose Other Setting
Select High quality video (large)
Click Next
Make sure you can see the video from preview
Start your tape
Start capture
You can click Finish, It is OK....
You can see your clip on the screen
Highlite one of the clip and hold ctrl key and click A at the same time
with the left key drag your clips to the first square on the story line
(bottom)
You can erase some ot the frames if you do not like them.
Then click #3 Finnish movie and click save to my computer
You can choose the same Name, but no number
Next
Click Show more choices
Dot in Other setting
Choose DV-AVI (NTSC)
Next
It start to save the movie
Unhook play the movie
Finish
Your movie is saved in AVI format
You can go to My Video Directory and you can see 2 files one is with the
number at the end,
You can delete the files, that one has bad compability with DVDs.
Now you can input those files into the software Memories on TV.
If you have any problem let me know.
