Importing True/False data from Excel

Hi there,

I am trying to do something that should be simple, but it
has me nonethelesss stumped.

I have a table which contains a field called "Available".
The data type is Yes/No, and the format is True/False.

Then there is a spreadsheet in Excel, which contains a
column also called "Available", with either cell contents
of =TRUE() or =FALSE() ( which is shown as either TRUE or
FALSE )

When importing this spreadsheet, I am always getting
an "Error at data conversion". In the field
for "Available" in the Access table, there are only False
values. All the other fields are importing correctly, and
the order of the fields is parallel to the order of the
columns (in Excel).

Does anyone know what could be causing this error?

Thanks!

OK me again!

What I forgot to say is that I tried to do this with
a .csv file from Excel.

Now, when I imported using a .xls file, it works. But when
doing the import from a .xls file, during the wizard I
cannot define that I want to import to an existing table
(option is greyed out). I therefore have to import to a
new table, and then copy the data to my existing table.
Surely there must be an easier way of doing this?
