IMPORTING to WORD

I have recently discovered that I can set up a merge in word and have the
data imported from Access.
I did a test and found that I lose some of the formatting established in the
word table.
For example:

6% is now 5.9999999999-2-E

Date: December 10, 2007 is now either 12/10/07 or 12:10:2007:0000

There are others but before I list them wonder if there is a quick fix to
make sure the formatting copies exactly as written in the database table?

Thank you,

I believe in fact that it is just the opposite of what you suppose. I
believe what is displaying is actually what is stored in the table. ....even
though displaying differently....

I've wrestled with this before...but can't remember the details; I believe
you can go over to the Word forum and find the answer to this as a task you
do in the property of the inserted value in the Word doc.... i.e. define as
% etc...

Maybe someone else has this at their fingertips and will answer here...but
try searching on the same topic over in Word and I think you will find a
fix.... hope this helps...
