I'm a long-time user of Access 97. I have just received Access 2003 and I
have a small issue with importing text files into new tables. These are
Fixed Width files and I establish the appropriate break lines, then the next
step is where the issue resides . . . with the exception of Field1, the
field names cannot be changed on this screen. No matter which field I
highlight, the first field name is always displayed. This forces me to
select Advanced, which is a work-around, but seeing the data is often
beneficial in assigning a proper name. Is this a bug in 2003?
