Importing Tables

If you import a table or other object, Microsoft Access adds a number to the
name if it conflicts with an existing name. For example, if you import
Employees and Employees already exists, Microsoft Access renames the imported
table or other object Employees1.

Is there a way to have it overwrite the table????

AFAIK there is no setting to this end in Access. What you could do is
rename or delete the original before importing or, in the case of a
table, just delete the existing records and append from the external
table rather than import/replace the whole table.
Am I right to suspect you are asking this because it is something you
plan to do regularly? If yes, post back with more details of what you
are trying to do and how, and you'll most likely get several ideas on
how to automate it and overcome this.
