Importing .PST Archives

I had to reinstall Outlook 98 because of a reinstall of XP Professional. I backed up all of my files including archiving my PST files. When I try to import my .PST files I get an error message saying OUTLOOK.EXE has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Then it gives you the choice of sending an error report and to see what data the error report contains. When I click on the hyperlink it gives an Error signiture (I have pictures of all error reports) with Application Name, Version, Model Version and Offset. Then it gives Reporting Details: This error report includes: information regarding the condition of OUTLOOK.EXE when the problem occurred; the operating system version and computer hardware in use; you Digital Product ID, which could be used to identify your license; and Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer.

Any idea how I can import my .PST files to my new install?

close outlook, find and rename the new pst it's using. open outlook, when it
whines that it can't find the pst, point it to the old one.
