importing powerpoint to movie maker

I want to incorporate portions of powerpoint, flash video and similar
segments into a Movie Maker production. How do I save the powerpoint
presentation in order to import it into Movie Maker? I believe the format
needs to be .wmm or .avi and I don't know how to convert powerpoint into
those formats and also retain the same transitions and effects. Thanks in
advance.
 
You'd have to use PPT 2010 (which is currently in beta) for this. Previous
versions of PPT for PC don't have a "save as movie" option.

PPT 2008 for Mac does have this feature, but I believe it saves only MOV
files.

You can get the PPT 2010 beta here:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/default.aspx I wouldn't install it
on a production computer (one that you use for real work), and I wouldn't
install it side-by-side with Office 2007. You could install a Virtual PC and
then install the Office 2010 beta on that, though -- in fact, that's what I
